Kitchen Items to DIY Instead of Buy
As I get more into home cooking, there is a growing list of items I no longer buy from the grocery store and instead opt to make my own. So far, this list includes breakfast sandwiches, brown sugar, powdered sugar, pancake/waffle mix, mayonnaise, and barbecue sauce. Buying the ingredients instead of the processed product frees up a few dollars each trip and I already buy the ingredients as part of my normal grocery shopping.

It showcases how easy creating multiple products from the same basic ingredients is! This knowledge is useful when you have a lot of the same produce to preserve. Sharing recipe cards can also be a great way to connect with friends and family, a way that has become lost in the age of technology and modern convenience.
